Toni is showing a ten-month-old Yondo under the distinguished judge Anne Rogers-Clarke to Best Puppy In Group at Canada's largest all-breed show of 1985. It has long been a Canadian dog show tradition to have puppy judging all the way up to Best Puppy In Show. However, BPIG was rarely won by a St Bernard because most Saints between 6 months and 12 months are best described as "a work in progress". Their bums are usually high; their heads kind of goofy; and their legs are going in six directions at once. On the other hand, the Siberian Huskiy and Boxer pups often look just perfect (darn them). So when Yondo looked like this at ten months and took this win, well, we were chuffed!
