Years ago Brian took a bitch down to breed to Sky Meadows Renegade in Southern California. While there, he fell in love with a smooth male puppy that Jack Landgraf was keeping for himself. Brian came home with The Iceman and he turned out to be an outstanding specimen. He excelled in all aspects - show dog, stud, weight puller, and breed ambassador.

The Iceman was our boone companion for nearly ten years. Always the gentleman, he would work his heart out at the weight pulls for Toni, becoming the first dog in history to pull 4,000 pounds at a National. Even at nine, he was an athlete. At the New Mexico National (below) he was Veteran Dog and Best Stud Dog. We used to say it would be a fabulous breeding if we could combine The Iceman with Yondo. And we set out to do that by building a bitch inbred on Iceman - Benbaron's Nifty And N'Ice. When we bred Nifty to Yondo, the famous T litter resulted. The Iceman was also an important foundation stud for Tikki Smith's Lasquite kennels.
