Additional Info

Before he was 20 months old, Xulu had already proven himself an impressive stud dog by siring a litter of seven smooth pups at the Kennebank Kennel of Pat Postma, Nova Scotia. We think Xulu may be a pure smooth.

Frozen semen, collected by Dr. Hutchison of ICSB Ohio, is available. Contact Brian Beninger ( to discuss potential use of his semen.

Xulu was our pick boy from the second Benbaron "X" litter. It was a signature litter, being our 50th! And with 10 live pups, it was the biggest litter produced from Yondo's frozen semen. Toni fell in love with Xulu's head as a baby and it hasn't disappointed as he approaches his second birthday. He took his first major at the Puyallup Shows in Jan 2012. To our eye, he has a very wide skull and an "old school" Sanctuary Woods look. Xulu is an average sized dog, 150 pounds, with an outstanding head. Breeders looking for an overall boost in size should consider using his litter brother, Xavier, who is 190 pounds at 22 months! Xulu now lives at Lasquite St Bernards with Tikki Smith and her amazing gang of Saints.

Xulu is OFA, and had his heart checked by Cornell while at the 2011 National. Breeders looking to improve heads should give some consideration to using his frozen semen. Contact Brian Beninger at
